Design and performance analysis of asymmetric multilevel inverter with reduced switches based on SPWM

<span lang="EN-US">Multilevel inverters have the benefit of producing high output voltage values with little distortion. This paper deals decreasing total harmonic distortion (THD) and providing an various step levels switching devices. In this study, a 27-level inverter three asymmetric H-Bridge was designed simulated based on level shift sinusoidal pulse-width modulation phase methods. MATLAB/Simulink has been used to create model test it at different types loads. The results showed that multilevel (PS-PWM) produces less than (LS-PWM), when resistive load used, produced current THD in (LS-PWM) are 3.02% 4.30% respectively, resulted from linearity between load. While case applying inductive load, is constant both methods same as However, decreased 2.79% 4.04% (LS-PWM). Finally, these show performance proposed power circuit PS-PWM better (LS-PWM).</span>
